Main characters of the play: Sipsi and Jääkarhu

LoimuSpeksi association produces improv theater each year mainly by university students with different themes in the plays and different crew to make it happen, and the visuals differ accordingly.

As the photographer of the production, I took photos of the production in different stages and organised photoshoots of the main character cast and the crew.

Jääkarhu and different sides of his character

The crew consisted of around twelve teams: actors, writers, staging, costumes, marketing etc. I wanted to make the process as smooth as possible and the images clear and neutral so the crew and their work can shine.

1½ Astetta had themes of climate crisis and change so I implemented those into the promotional photos as well. Character and production team photos were two-part, and the teams were colour coded.

Edited photos were used as promotional material for social media and the press for the first time ever sold out production of the association.

Being part of the production was an instructive experience for organizing photoshoots for a big crew and being present in different types of them: blending into the crowd for events and inspiring confidence for portraits.
